Our Story

A western arena built for our neighbors.

Hidden R Arena sits on Sessions Road just outside Sheridan — a place where Mid Michigan's horse families come to ride, compete, learn, and enjoy a good night under the lights.

Hidden R Arena was started by horse people, for horse people. We grew up around barrels and ropings, around 4-H ribbons and weekend rodeos, and we wanted a place close to home where the Mid Michigan western community could gather without having to haul halfway across the state.

What we built is simple: good dirt, honest schedules, fair pay-outs, and a welcoming gate. Whether you're hauling in for your first jackpot or you've been running barrels for thirty years, you'll find the same friendly faces and the same respect for the horse and the sport.

We work hard to make this arena a place where kids feel safe, beginners feel welcome, and competitors get a fair run. From youth clinics to full rodeo weekends, every event we host is built around three things: the horse, the family, and the community.

Our Values

Built around the horse and the next generation.

Western tradition isn't something we reenact — it's how we live. We believe in starting young riders right, in giving people a reason to come out and visit with their neighbors, and in keeping the door open to anyone who wants to be part of this life.

Every clinic, every fun show, every rodeo night is a chance to pass on a little of what was passed to us — patience with horses, pride in good work, and the simple joy of a clean run.
